Hierarchic Structure
A symbolic representation of power showing how those in authority lose ever more of their original identity as they climb to reach the pinnacle of power. The supreme authority hovers like an eerie, disembodied god above the heirs to power. The visible skeletons, however, reminds us that everyone is mortal. The lines and grooves on the sides symbolise division. Christina Hamre’s table tennis table offers countless opportunities for seizing control of the game and challenging existing positions of power.
